According to a statement by the Greater Manchester Police, at least 22 people have been confirmed dead and around 59 others were injured, in an explosion at the Manchester Arena on the night of 22 May at the end of a concert by US singer Ariana Grande. Police believe that the explosion, which is being treated as a terrorist incident, was carried out by a single man using an improvised explosive device (IED), who was confirmed dead at the scene. La più giovane vittima, finora identificata, dell’attacco terroristico all’arena di Manchester è una bambina di 8 anni, Saffie Rose Roussos di Leyland. Lo riferisce la Bbc. Della bimba si erano perse le tracce ed era stata indicata in un primo momento nella lista dei ‘dispersi’ dell’attentato di Manchester. La piccola, originaria di Leyland, nel Lancashire, è stata purtroppo identificata fra le persone uccise nell’attacco terroristico, hanno riferito le autorità locali.
